Fertility Week

1-7 September 2016

Fertility Week is an annual awareness campaign within the ‘Your Fertility’ project.

This year, the theme for Fertility Week will be#7ways7days – and will focus each day on a range of factors that can affect a person’s ability to get pregnant and have a healthy baby.

‘Your Fertility’ aims to promote conversations between individuals and health professionals about modifiable factors affecting fertility. Fertility week provides an opportunity to raise awareness in the community and among health professionals throughout Australia, of the impact of lifestyle on fertility.

The objectives of Fertility Week are:

  • To raise community awareness and increase knowledge about modifiable factors that influence fertility
  • To educate health professionals about how they can help their patients optimise their fertility through lifestyle choices and timing when planning a pregnancy
  • To educate people of reproductive age about what they can do to increase their chances of conceiving and having a healthy baby.
