Your Fertility is brought to you by the Fertility Coalition: the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Treatment Authority (VARTA), Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, Andrology Australia and The Robinson Research Institute of the University of Adelaide.
We’ve sifted through the research on five key factors that affect getting pregnant and having a healthy baby: age, smoking, weight, alcohol and of course, timing sex to coincide with the most fertile time of a woman’s cycle.
This program is supported by funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and the Victorian Government Department of Health.
Approximately 10 per cent of couples have difficulty with getting pregnant. About 35,000 women per year in Australia and New Zealand go through the emotional rollercoaster of IVF treatment.
We want you to have the facts, so you can make the choices that maximise your chances of conceiving and having a healthy baby – whether that’s now or down the track.
